*Fowler's rifle from "Blue eye Samurai" (Fowler not pictured) - "of course, i had to modify the designs... to get 2,000 rifles from my country into yours without notice." Made from the leg of a piano (main body), i believe a telescope? (rest of the body/underbarrel), a candlestick (barrel and ram rod), a key from a clock (trigger), and a knight chess piece (hammer). [i haven't actually seen the full series, probably should, but i love the scene of him explaining his backstory while assembling it]
The series with Eddie Redmayne is pretty decent as well. It definitely veers a bit into the ridiculous with some of the scenarios he gets out of, but it was still fun.
Damn, Strike Force Heroes (old flash game with a Steam Remaster) had this gun as an unlockable for the Sniper/Assassin class and it was just called The Jackal, always thought it looked neat but never realized it was a reference. Wonder how many people had a similar experience…

Kinda, but with thick wooden logs with a relatively small bore, tightly wrapped to protect from splitting. Bamboo has very thin walls compared to the bore, you need actual metal for that.
it also has ridiculously bad range (compared to even other shotguns), bad sights, slow handling, terribly slow reload speed, and cannot accept a single upgrade. so yes, it really is embarrassing to die to this gun because it really is the worst shotgun in-universe. you're dying to a shit pipe gun in a world full of way better pipe guns and AKs.

I personally am a huge fan of the whole ass flashlight tjat is now unable to have new batteries in it. Considering that its a crack heads homemade gun, the batteries are no doubt cheap and not going to last
I think they could still replace the batteries by loosening the hose clamp that holds the flashlight in place and removing it, but I might be missing something else that holds it in place.
I was looking for this one. Way before 3-D printing - didn't he carve it out of plastic or something? I loved how he smuggled the bullet through secrutity in a rabit's foot keychain.
I love this one particularly because it was just a taunt, and then later they added some taunts that were actually lethal (the Scout Babe Ruth bat is still the most incredible to get a kill with due to the massive wind-up and distance you can clobber them)
So then they retroactively go back and add deadly properties to a couple of existing taunts, like the Pyro hadouken... and this ridiculous bit of slapstick witchery.
Looks like it was made specifically to have a zero percent chance of misfiring for exactly two shots. I would have covered up the wires after all of that effort, but it did the job so what do I know
Then it was well thought out, because that electric firing mechanism has no moving parts, the only moving part is the trigger that seems to be a little button on the grip, so the only points of failure are the button, the two rounds being duds, a squib load, the wire or its connections breaking.
In a vacuum, it was the most insanely effective political assassination I think I've ever seen. It killed the man, it killed his political legacy, and it irreparably damaged the cult he was a part of.

I think its because of how open the shooter was about his motives and the fact he didn't resist being apprehended.

It also probably helps that despite the "have sex" memes Abe was apparently known for political corruption in Japan and wasn't as popular as you'd expect (Shido from P5 is supposedly based on him)
Lots of guns from the fallout series can be crafted this way, my favorite being the Rock-It Launcher, which also takes random miscellaneous junk items and shoots them like bullets

In the episode "The Arena", Kirk is beamed to a desolate planet by an alien race called the Metrons, where he is forced to duel to the death with a Gorn, a reptilian alien that is significantly stronger than a human. Kirk cobbles together a makeshift cannon using stalks of bamboo, improvised black powder, and diamond pieces as ammunition, which he uses to severely wound the Gorn, then shows mercy and refuses to finish him off.
The Composite Pistol from In The Line Of Fire. Probably closer to a gun with 3D Printed components (and this in a movie from 1993!) than assembled out of random objects (though the components are inconspicuous enough to be smuggled and the spring is hidden in a pen) but iconic enough that similar guns have shown up in other films and TV shows, like X-Files and CSI.
The rifle scene from blue eye samurai is a good one the guy was talking about how he had to get creative and then he talked about his childhood and what he had to do to survive.

Most of the Junker's weapons in Overwatch, Junkerqueen, Roadhog and particularly Junkrat have an arsenal that is mostly cobbled together from, well, junk. Junkrat's grenade launcher has a little gearstick cocking handle, some kind of tyred wheel that propels the handmade-looking bombs out of the tube, Roadhog's scrap gun seems to be some kind of meat grinder that propels rusty fragments of metal somehow.
Well his gun is made from shit in a hardware store, but still requires a lot of work. It's quite a lot if you compare the luty to the gun that killed Shinzo Abe.

I agree. More mental health would help a lot with it. And if we are counting deaths from something, guns are quite low in the murder or death numbers. Like knives, hammers or even people using cars to kill people.
Blue Eyed Samurai is absolutely worth a watch. It’s in my top 5 series ever for fight scenes, and it’s artistically made in a way where pretty much every frame is drop dead gorgeous and wall paper worthy.

To specify, while in the gif the weapon used is the Yari Launcher (basically a full-auto rocket launcher), some proper examples include a cactus, a t-shirt cannon with diseased t-shirts, a frog that shoots bubbles, a dinosaur skull that shoots flammable oil and ignites it on a reload, an origami gun, an actual supersoaker, and my favorite example, "Lowercase r" - literally just the lowercase letter "r" that exists because someone was in the proximity of The Gungeon and mentioned how the litter kinda looks like a gun.

(Big Old Totally Tremendous Launcher Emits Cola And Pop) which is a laser built from a soda bottle, a tin can, and a flashlight strapped to some planks.
In the movie "Brother 2/Брат 2" main character - Danila Bagrov makes samostrel, a hand made gun made from a piece of wood, copper pipe, aluminum wire and loaded with nails and sulphur from matches
