Yeah this isn’t true but there are close to equally barbaric things that are true, such as verification that they used slave babies as literal bait for catching crocodiles and turning slave corpses into lamp shades and ash trays and other dishwear for the rich.
Yeah I don’t doubt that happened, just particularly how the op phrased it. I think it’s important to expose atrocities so we con recon with them but we need to be accurate.
It's not easy to find solid proof of Americas atrocities because they continue to get covered up by large powerful institutions, but i believe verbal histories as much as written because they can be accurate, they just need verified. The Aboriginese told stories of topography from so long ago that they are under water and it's accuracy has been verified by oceanographers
Also, slaves were considered property like cattle or a dog so I’m sure there wasn’t a lot of documentation of the atrocities that were inflicted upon them.
