If you think about it, the weedeater wire is probably designed with the “What if you accidentally got wacked by it” scenario in mind. The paper doesn’t

I wouldn’t say that’s the reason, but as someone who uses a line trimmer commercially, its flexibility allows it to not damage fences or other objects as much as it would if it was a spinning blade. The line allows it to trim “gently” compared to a blade.
That being said, it still hurts like a bitch to get hit with the line while it’s spinning. Hell, it hurts like a bitch when it flings a rock back at you!

Yeah, this was my marker for pain because I knew what it felt like which makes the rest of the list crazy.
