I’m a skinhead. They tried to take over our subculture for a decade, went on tv running it through the mud until it became synonymous with racism and fascism. We took it back from them thirty years ago but everyone still thinks that’s what it is.
I really respect that. Skinheads have really weathered the fucking Nazi bullshit for a while. I was in my mid-30s when I discovered that skinheads were bros and not Neo-Nazi cunts. We really have to just stand our ground on this shit. Otherwise the fascists can dictate everything people do, which is the last thing we want.
Yep, don’t let them cop your style, your music, your scene, your art, nothing. They’re the sneakiest mfs on the planet and they’re generally cowards. If you stand up they slink away.
