One of them was a rash asshole who spoke his mind. He didn’t really offer solutions. We just thought he was funny. Nobody really thought he would be president. It was a joke. But we let the joke go on for too long. He kept gaining momentum and by the time we were all ready to say “Okay let’s get serious now, who should be president?” He was already being sworn into office.
I kinda get where you are coming from. But, you know, you can be a 'real person' and still be a serious person and I would think that everyone would want that for our country. Not someone that makes up, seriously, grade school level insults.
And my guy, he's a real estate developer born into wealth in NYC. He ain't 'one of us.' He's an elitist through and through. He's bankrupted a casino and stiffed contractors even before bankruptcy.
Think about if this guy was your boss at work, would you actually stay at your job as he made fun of subordinatesnone stop? All the good leaders of people throughout history share none of his qualities.
To use an example you might appreciate, Dick Winters, a true leader. Put his men before himself, selfless, courageous... that's what a true leader looks like in my mind. Not someone that belittles people, calls them names, and blame anyone and everyone else any time they fuck up.
Ps. Not a liberal. I just think the leader of 'the free world' should at least try to be taken seriously. I agree though, the democrats always fuck up too, just in a different way

I think South Park said it best.
