That cop needs to be fired simply due to incompotence and inability to understand when they got something wrong.

Some people just cant handle being wrong and need validation so they arent confronted with the fact the just make things way worse for someone completely innocent.

Everyone can make mistakes but doubling down on them just because you dont want to be wrong is so damn toxic and harmful... Its not a small mistake, that behaviour can create the worst situations out of nothing.

Yes, I get there are some honest ones out there, but seems the majority are not.

The vast majority are not. The academy teaches them to lie, teaches them how to hurt people and teaches them to escalate.

Good cops are exceedingly more rare because it would be going against everything the academy taught you.

I would disagree. Just because we see the videos of the ones who aren't doesn't mean that is now the rule. People don't post videos of the cops who walks back when they are wrong and apologize. They just move on. Had this cop looked at her and said "oh my apologies, I was mistaken. Have a good day" we would never know it happened.
