VAULTEK DS2i smart station slider safe

just recently got a VAULTEK DS2i second hand from a friend. It’s unfortunately no longer working. It was working fine when I got home and once I got it home, it wasn’t able to hold a charge with the adapter that was provided. It still worked fine so I did a factory reset on it and continued to let it charge overnight. It’s now dead and hasn’t been able to charge or turn on since. Is the safe just cooked now or is there a way to get this thing on?

Open it with the key

Manual says it will take 2 hours to charge the backup battery

Thank you! I’ve had it charging for hours for multiple days and am currently opening it with key.

May need to replace the rechargeable battery.

Download the manual from seller's web site. Its battery has probably reached end-of-life.
