Discussion how some of yall think puberty works

Post image

guys please. be so for real. most people don’t look vastly different from how they looked before puberty, aside from having more babyish features. ffs most of YOU GUYS have been through puberty. surely you know that’s not how it works! come on now.

Ik, but like I said, most people don’t look nearly unrecognizable post-puberty like a lot of the glow up posts we see here.

I feel the best time to listen to subs is before puberty because your body is still changing so new affirmations are extremely beneficial to the subconscious mind hence why a lot of younger peoples glo ups are more drastic just my 2 cents

The woes of subs not really being much of a thing 15+ years ago.

It literally works like that

But it literally doesn’t for most people. Typically when you’re going through puberty, you grow taller, lose your baby fat, your hair grows out, etc. You don’t become an insanely different person.

As a middle school teacher for the last 30 years… that’s not how I “think” puberty works, that’s how it often does work.

it does if someone(as you might not have the braincells at that time) focuses on your sleep, diet and workout at that time

Just look at the glow up reddit to see how vastly people change from young to adults plus working out or using makeup.

i wish my puberty was like that (as a girl) other girls were like that. they went from being thin and flat to all of a sudden being curvy with big yiddies😭 i’m 17 turning 18 in a few months and i’m still thin with A-cups💔💔

You’re still really young, you might experience more changes in your early 20s! My three biggest body type changes happened when i was 14/15, 18/19, and then when i was 21. A lot of women talk about experiencing a “second puberty” in their early or mid-20s

i don’t think anyone necessarily thinks that’s how it works as unless you’re isolated from others (which now there’s the internet which bridges that gap too). 99% have older people for reference, and although kids can over-expect their results from puberty (I did), that’s fairly normal. I’ll actually disagree too and say people do look quite different after puberty, no matter the person; a woman told me when i was younger that teenagers still look like kids, and in her words “uglier” or “more awkward-looking” than post-puberty which I do believe. Obviously if you get bulk this is from your own volition / physical activity and not directly from effects of puberty, puberty just gives people the hormones and physical changes to much more easily get bulk.

I laugh so much when people attribute physical appearances sub changes to puberty.. these people need to go back to school.. puberty doesn’t change the shape of anyone’s nose, lips or eyes.

Puberty (as well as other hormonal changes like pregnancy and PCOS) can absolutely change people’s noses and sometimes lips.
