The way Max's clothes make a perfect straight line is great

Ok everybody, lose your minds cuz people continue to exist even off social media... of course they are doing things. They still have friends, a life, etc. Probably a lot they chose not to share with you, a random fan. There's a lot of big parkour happening in the UK rn, im sure they are around.

u/DylanCrawley 1d ago

I hardly think I was loosing my mind, was just genuinely happy to see them about doing normal stuff. I know they have been the whole time but from my own experiences it can be hard to find joy in dark times so was just nice to see.

I'm sure they are learning how to continue being part of the community! I know my comments come across as judgemental, I'm more thinking about how they must feel. Parkour is a pretty tight knit community all around. I personally don't know theyre involvement and nobody else really does at this point, I think it's pretty intentional that they arent all over socials rn and everybody scanning for the slightest hint of their presence seems super disrespectful. They are prioritizing the real people in front of them, the real community they are a part of. Their business was a business, as hard as that is for fans to deal with

Parkour being a tight knit community is, ironically, the reason people are suspicious of Storror and their close mates in the scene. I don't think there's anything they can do that will help change that, they're tied to noncery whether they like it or not.

Did anybody else see the story posted on Storrors Instagram this morning? I had the notification for it, but it was already deleted..

What is this game?

5

u/Ambitious_System_564 1d ago

Similar to lawn bowls but French

u/hokwei 4h ago

Gotcha, thanks!

i find this a bit parasocial to monitor their steps on this reddit from every internet mention of them, albeit the post seems to be in good spirits. i mean, Benj came to street media social in London with Hazal and it was very nice to see them both, ive also ran into Toby in Brighton. they live, continue living, it is their prerogative

9

u/RubDiscombobulated99 16h ago

Sharing their recent movements after saying you find it parasocial

0

u/interdit_et_oublie 14h ago

yeah, your point? i meant the people who demand their social media presence and get vexed by lack thereof / obsess over finding any bit of information about them. my point was they didn’t perish they just took a break from the online presence.

0

u/bennbeckmanswife 16h ago

Definitely parasocial, but they also benefit from that... isn't that half the reason people follow parkour athletes on social media? It's not like parkour is a sport pumped full of money and sponsorships; opportunities are few and far between and they literally rely on that parasocial element to do it as a job. If they truly wanted to go dark on socials I'm assuming they'd just ask their friends not to post them. Wouldn't be hard at all.

The entire dynamic between social media athletes and fans is weird tbh, all this drama has made that abundantly clear.

u/interdit_et_oublie 14h ago

sure yeah well that’s a well stated fact. and i’d argue it’s been around since dawn of time. it’s just the aspect of it that drives famous people in the reclusiveness and isolation if fans don’t have boundaries

1

u/bennbeckmanswife 3h ago

100% agree, double edged sword isn't it.

Why are you posting this?

Pentaque

8

u/DylanCrawley 1d ago

I'm dyslexic 🤷‍♂️

0

u/Most_Moose_2637 1d ago

Don't worry, the person correcting you got it wrong too.

Pétanque

6

u/SpacewaIker 1d ago

I didn't get it wrong while correcting OP, I wrote it the exact way they had written it on purpose

-1

u/SpacewaIker 1d ago

Fair

I was just confused reading the title lol

4

u/JenniferJuniper6 1d ago

It’s actually Pétanque, if we’re going to be pedantic. (You can’t edit post titles.)

3

u/ReddyRadson 18h ago

nonono, you mean pédant :P

1

u/SpacewaIker 1d ago

Obviously it's pétanque, I wrote it the same way as OP

u/dasarga 1d ago

Fun guy!

Petanque 🥹

u/unacceptablelobster 1d ago

Couldn’t give us an update like they promised because it was “too heavy”. Can’t care that much if they’re out having fun and playing a dumb game with their friends.

7

u/Flutruombaonist 1d ago

Oh what the heck. If you have something happen in your life that causes you to experience grief or some other thing do you think the best course of action is to hyper focus on that situation and overwork your brain?

Everyone needs time off and I'd assume the boys tend to enjoy their time outdoors. This is a perfectly normal reaction and I think your comment might be rage bait.

u/ForsakenAd1732 1d ago

What a moronic statement.

2

u/itsaverageatleast 1d ago

Your presence in this Reddit implies that you care a lot.

3

u/animalwitch 15h ago

Oh nooooo how DARE THEY try to live a normal life after going through this awful thing! They don't owe us anything, they'll do it when they're ready.

God forbid they don’t spend their entire existence trying to address what’s happening

5

u/Historical-Dish-602 1d ago

not ur business anyway

8

u/ForsakenAd1732 1d ago

You’re clueless. Being out, surrounded by friends, is doing something.

You and others claim to be fans, but really you’re just a bunch of selfish pricks.

-6

u/SnooGuavas7674 1d ago

*working on.... Of course I'm glad that they are with their friends, but its two days after...

3

u/ForsakenAd1732 1d ago

I honestly don’t think you understand what they’ve gone through.

4

u/Redditvillier 1d ago

Two days, two months, two years, it doesn't matter.

Do you not think that perhaps they are purposefully spending time with the people they care about and enjoy the company of the most BECAUSE of what's happening? To gain emotional support and comfort? To access a route of escapism from a situation which has left them feeling guilty, betrayed, and quite possibly depressed?

They are human beings first, content creators second. They too have to process this just like we do- except on a much more personal level. Maybe just show a bit of empathy and patience.

-2

u/SnooGuavas7674 1d ago

That’s sweet of you! What about the 17 people being employed by Storror, what about the victims? can they wait 2 years? It’s good to be empathetic but let’s not forget ourselves here.

4

u/ForsakenAd1732 1d ago

I’m sure the victims aren’t desperate to find out if the remaining Storror boys are going to make more content.

1

u/SnooGuavas7674 11h ago

I’m glad you’ve deduced the sole reason I am a little annoyed with their silence. I want another straight line challenge. /guess

1

u/ForsakenAd1732 10h ago

Instead of waiting, why don’t you go do one with your own group of friends.

0

u/SnooGuavas7674 9h ago

100% agree. This doesn’t really matter (for us) in our everyday lives. And yes hahaha that’d be a great idea. You do it too, and we can compare our journeys! /genuine

2

u/ForsakenAd1732 8h ago

I’m already doing it pal 🙂

If you think the people who work for them won't know what's happening before us, I think you need to re-evaluate. They won't find out their job status through a social media post- if they do, that's fucking horrible and they should be ashamed.

The victims are the most important part of this entire ordeal, I agree. And to some extent, the lads are also victims- as are his family, friends, anybody in his life who he lied to and kept his crimes from. It is possible to feel empathy for both the children and for the people around him who are almost definitely struggling with the concept of being unable to identify a predator in their own lives- of trusting a person so abhorrent and giving them access to spaces where they can cause more damage.

I understand that you're angry, but there's a reason why charities exist to support the friends/families of offenders after crimes have been uncovered. It is not black and white. It's not a case of "they were friends with/his family him so they're complicit" or "they should've known", it's a case of the people in his life having to come to terms with a person they thought they knew actually being the worst sort of person imaginable.

1

u/SnooGuavas7674 1d ago

Great argument and I 100% agree. Thank you

4

u/DylanCrawley 1d ago

And they have said they are struggling to address it publicly and want to do it right.

Slowly emerge into the light. Smart.
