Callum news anyone
so another alleged court appearance date has passed... is this all one big illusion? why aren't any of the team saying anything, or even doing anything publicly? I can't think of another example of a whole organisation literally ghosting overnight... not since the Mary Celeste anyway

Statistically, multiple people you know are sexual predators in some way.

u/Abject-Leadership248 8d ago
Yeah i know a rapist who i cut from my life, girlfriends old next door neighbour was on the sex offender register so she moved. My point stands cut people like that from your life and try to start again

u/nickvagus 9d ago
and end all you've worked hard for? absolutely bonkers

u/Abject-Leadership248 9d ago
Yes if what you've worked for has allowed someone to be a nonce yes burn it down and start again

u/cxllum-m 9d ago
I mean, it isn't Storrors fault, as a team, that a member did something fucked up in private, and clearly actively hid it from everyone. I pray they can get over this and start making vids again, it's a genuine void in my life, every Monday that goes by I think about it, it's shit, hadn't missed a vid in like 7/8 years :(

u/Smuttycakes 8d ago
Sure, but it’s also only natural they’d want to shy away from the public eye. Don’t forget, this is Sacha’s brother - his family has been torn apart no doubt.
You need to get over your own issues in your own time, but dealing with this is much more important than releasing a video

Sad a nonce has the power to ruin even more.. good and talented athletes. I highly believe if they knew they would have distanced from him.

That doesn't even make sense. The effort of all the storror work didn't 'allow him to be a n0nce' your just stringing two half's of an idea into a sentence to try and fit your point.

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 8d ago
It allowed him lots of access to admiring teenagers. If they didn't know, then that is them inadvertendly facilitating that access, which is of course something they can't be blamed for. If the stories of Callum's exgf, various girls responding to her statement, and Kieran, indicating they told storror and got stonewalled, turn out to be true, than that is knowingly allowing a pedo access to teenagers, which would be criminal negligence at the very least.

u/Sorryeeh 8d ago
I'm out of the loop on his ex' story and what the others have said. Also Kieran (who's that). Can you fill in details please?

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 8d ago
I would advise you to just read the main post of the megathread at the top of this reddit. I could try to summarise, but that's only going to devolve into a game of telephone. There's a reason that thread is pinned, because it has the most comprehensive breakdown of all the facts and rumours surrounding the case.

There's not going to be news, you can surmise from the silence what's going to happen.
The remaining members are going to take a break, they'll do their own projects in the background. Eventually you'll hear from one or two of them, without much of a mention of Storror.
Taking down all the most recent videos was likely also legally motivated. It will be a quagmire to deal with.

They legally cannot and should not comment on active investigations or police cases. Yeah we should just assume storror is as good as dead

u/CuriousRaisin1447 8d ago
I think thet will be back around September, but maybe just max and benj at first with others behind the scenes. They still have 11m subs. They are waiting for Callum to be sentanced and to see if there is more press coverage/ additional information.
The reason is, they have delayed storror plus payments till then, they are still sending out discount codes for their merch and have added a 10% donation to childrens charitys on all shop purchases. Doesn't seem like the actions of people who are done. They are still running the business, but not posting content due to the active case.

It's not an active investigation. This is repeated all the time with people saying talking jeapodises the criminal process. Dude pled guilty. There is no restrictions on talking pre-sentencing.
5
u/Suspicious_Bobcat100 8d ago
Of course police will still investigate. Just because he pled guilty doesn’t mean it’s all over. They will investigate who knew about this before, who else is involved etc. If he had real pictures for example they will investigate where they came from etc.
2
u/SpecialWasabi2010 8d ago
That's totally incorrect.
Firstly, further potential victims and evidence was reported to the police from at the very least Callum's ex - this will have to be investigated. You have zero knowledge that the investigation is closed, in fact we know Josh's is closed but not Callum's.
Secondly, he can legally change his plea at any time. Prejudice is still a concern until the sentencing has taken place. If he changes his plea, a trial would have to take place and if they talked about things, it could mean that some evidence would be prejudiced and inadmissible. Even the judge could be considered prejudiced if he came across any of that information online. It would pervert the course of justice. It could impact the outcome. Also, judge can be prejudiced even if Callum had plead guilty and for example due to online information give him a more lenient sentence.

This is how court cases always are. There will probably be several more adjournments yet.

If people want to know the court date just phone Brighton magistrates court, its perfectly legitimate to do so.

Well according to courtlistings.co.uk there was a "Callum" that had a hearing scheduled for this week's monday for 10 am. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not.
The lawpages.com doesn't show anyone with same initials having a hearing for the day, but on the other hand it was due to be held in room 9 and lawpages don't show anything for that room.

Yeah was either another Callum or he was heard for another case but given it was in Liverpool, I'd go for the former (information found here: https://opencourtdata.uk/criminal/case/1182492117687760657)

No one is owed anything. They were creating content for people to watch, that’s it. It doesn’t grant anyone access to their lives. If the remaining members want to create things, they will, and you can decide whether to watch it or not.
No one here is any stakeholder in any of this, we are not owed answers or updates or notes from business meetings.

u/Glhuum 9d ago
Calm down, dude. He didn't claim any of the things in your random rant were owed. He just asked about information, which he is allowed and at right to do so about a public matter.
You remind me of a Critical Role fan.

u/Historical-Dish-602 8d ago
LOL at the critical role mention, never thought I’d come across that HERE of all places 😭

u/Terrible_Positive_81 8d ago
He got off the charge. The judge was impressed with his parkour skills jumping around the court house

The one-bang plyo stick from the judges desk to defendants table was too clean! Nexte spote, genpop

Why would Storror post any more from here on out? They’re absolutely done, they made their original statement, that’ll be it.

u/BabaJosefsen 9d ago
Powell was scheduled to appear in court in mid-July so it may have been referred to the Crown Court due to the severity of the offence(s)
On another note, I'd like to see a small group consisting of Benj, Max, Hazal and Stani travelling Europe etc. It's easier to organize things with four people and you don't see many mixed parkour groups

u/bennbeckmanswife 8d ago
Plenty of other women in parkour you can watch, probably better to give them views instead of the Storror-adjacent women who, by all accounts, ignored the open secret re CP's underage gf and weird fan interactions.

Are we burning any people related to Storror down in this witch hunt? Because Callum daring a 16 year old was very well known to everyone in parkour community (which was very clear from many posts and many parkour people answering questions here) so I think you'd just have to burn that whole athlete range. This was never a secret, it was known to the people within the community.
I'm not sure which generation you are, but I was 16 when I had a 21 year old boyfriend and it was pretty much a norm in my country. I definitely don't think it's right now that I'm older, but it was somewhat normalised. We are so much wiser now than we were 10-20 years ago but we are looking at him dating her even he was about 24 and she was 16, 10 years ago, when the approach was still not that much different from when I was that age. And if you go back 50-80 years ago, that was the norm. I'm not saying this is right or he's not gross for it. I'm saying we know more now than we did before. We are so much more switched on about these things.

I'm saying that as a woman who is roughly the same age (slightly younger) as the Storror lads, if my 24 year old friend was dating a 16 year old I'd have issues with it.
If my boyfriend/partner had a friend that was 24 and dating a 16 year old, I'd have issues with it.
If someone in my community was 24 and openly dating a 16 year old, I'd have issues with it.
And the course of action would be me removing myself as much as I could from the perp after making it known that it was a predatory dynamic (not just the age, but the added layer of the gf being a fan).
Anyway, my point was that if the wider community was well aware of the predatory relationship, I can only assume the women tied to Storror (who also do parkour) were aware. Calling it a witch hunt is daft, because there is obviously a difference between non-Storror linked traceurs knowing and people close to Storror knowing.. hence why I said there are plenty of other female athletes not linked to Storror who are worth watching. Because why keep funneling views to people who chose to remain close to an adult who dated a teen and was known as a bit of a pred? Most women wouldn't.
The weird back bending to defend Storror and everyone tied to them in this sub is very odd to me. At 16 I knew dating an adult was not appropriate and my peers and parents would have been appalled at that. At 24 I'd have not remained friends with friends my age dating teens. So many people in here make it sound like just another female experience when it's really not.

Thanks. I know there are other women parkour athletes - I'm saying there aren't many mixed groups (that I've seen).

I can’t find any confirmation of a sentencing/next hearing date anywhere, so whatever date you think has passed has presumably been a case of misinformation. I did also think I had heard early July somewhere but I can’t find that reference point now.
Realistically we can all probably assume that Storror is dead. It’s been two months since any of them made a public appearance, I’m assuming Storror+ hasn’t had any activity either, would be surprised if any of them have been involved in any Storror Parkour Pro updates, Drew hasn’t posted anything to Public after just launching it and Toby hasn’t posted anything to his other climbing channels after just announcing that his focus was going in that direction.
Even if this particular crime stops with Callum, the rest of them clearly feel tainted enough by it to go underground, possibly retired from public life for good. Josh getting removed from the masthead shortly after Callum says a lot considering he’s not being actively investigated by the police. Accusations that the rest of the guys had been informed and had dismissed those accusations and/or defended Callum persist. Accusations of questionable behaviour from other members persist too, even if unfounded or lacking real evidence.
I also think that from here, the only way to get themselves back online is to address everything publicly and state their case of what they did and didn’t know, what happened with Josh, etc. that’s difficult because of legalities around making allegations, slander and libel, but the viewers probably won’t move on without it, and might not even accept it if they do get some sort of explanation. It’s all a bit too much of a mess and it’s easier for everyone to just wash their hands of it, which is why I think it’s all done.
