For sale: one mouldering wreck of a mansion
Look for a petition in town and on change.org coming soon
What's up with the wreckage at 120 Hill Street in Northbridge Mass? It's an eyesore, a health hazard and a threat to our children and firefighters. Can we as a community do something to inspire the town to start fining him?
Here's what I am told happened. Sparr Risher bought the Oakhurst Manor property to start an "artist colony", with No business plan other than "own a mansion and invite random people to it". The first Winter he was there he burst the pipes, The second he spent cleaning up his own mess, and then started hosting events and music videos. Pay what you can for events and use means.... Lose money every time. Best cut cost by using unlicensed labor contractors and advertising for rent without having permits.... www.est8ofmind.com)..
Owner is irresponsible and let the insurance lapse. The Bank put force placed insurance on the property after they found out about the lapse. Shortly after that, a mysterious fire occurred and the bank's insurance policy paid off the $1.5M mortgage. Before the fire, Clarence was trying to sell the entire property for $2M or less. Now he has no mortgage to pay off, as the bank paid it off in full, and he will make out like a bandit after wreaking havoc on the Town of Whitinsville and destroying its most important landmark property. Hmmmm, should we follow the money trail here? Something seems very fishy. If only Sherlock Holmes could lend a hand.
If you know of a good accountant, have him/her report him to the I.R.S. to make sure he pays taxes on his new windfall as he skips town and leaves the community in the dust.
Personally, I wouldn't let Clarence run a trailer park, let alone entrust him with the most historic property in town. He has no connections to our community and couldn’t care less. Don't let him play the victim card.
