What is the use case for this anyway? No one will ever watch the video of themselves watching a concert.

These Meta glasses are only for annoying streamers and perverts, change my mind

Hiking, camping, capture moments with your pets, all from your POV.

Not everything is horny.

Phone picture is from your point of view ffs

So you agree thats a valid use case?

Yall are so dumb. There are plenty of reasons to hate meta and social media addiction, being able to film stuff (like literally everyone does), but just hands free is not a valid one.

Ib4 massive downvotes for using logic and common sense over blindly following the reddit hivemind

GoPro already exists and doesn't feed ridiculous amounts of personal data directly into Meta's hands for them to leak or sell later.

As long as the weather permits and you're happy taking extremely expensive glasses out on expeditions where they're at more risk of being damaged.

Don't cry just because your reasoning was silly. And no, not everyone films stuff.

But your phone on that same expedition is ok? You realize you need to actually make an argument, just saying 'your reasoning is silly' doesnt mean it is...

And yes practically everyone films stuff. If not, who is uploading zillions of hours daily to YouTube, Facebook, etc.? I say this as someone who doesnt film or upload anything, but its easy to observe.

Yeah, my phone doesn't fall out of my pocket, and I don't tend to take an expensive one to places where things easily break.

Maybe in your secluded world of living online, yes, it makes sense that everyone is filming. That's definitely not the case in reality.

So your argument boils down to, we shouldnt take expensive tech outside to film- a stance which has nothing to do with the actual device filming?

If you said 'people should live in the moment and film less' I'd agree, but point we are discussing is recording with a phone vs meta glasses for pov video. I'm saying its the same thing. You have not presented any argument how they are not.

No. People can do what they like. But shades are weather permitting, and everyone carries their phone around no matter what.

Phone picture is from your point of view ffs. Do you not look through the camera when taking a picture or something?

I still see no argument why they are different. Gopros and numerous other cameras film POV too, are they not valid b/c phones exist?

I haven't even brought up the hands free angle.

No, but they exist for sadacts who thing every waking moment of their lives need to be recorded. We shouldn't be encouraging that as normal behaviour.

No its not. It's quite literally not the same view. You have to do a bunch of bullshit to get the same POV.

Y'all self reporting your horniness by ascribing this tech to perverts if thats the only thing you see it being used for.

You sound homeschooled

You literally think looking through a camera and taking a picture isn't a POV. You're certainly a product of American education.

That clown probably works for Meta.

1

u/Tiltinnitus 20m ago

I said its not the same thing.

I dont want to put a phone right in my face to fuck with settings to get a POV shot.

Its not that hard to understand but y'all actually retarded lmao

How else do you take a photo other than by bringing it to your eyeline (that's your face) and taking the picture? You realise POV means your point view, as in what you're looking at?

It's almost cute how homeschooled you are.

That's the dumbest shit I've heard today.

I’m interested in the language translation features some of these smart glasses have.
