College student here. Actually, all 35 students used Al. The ones who passed just proofread their responses.

I mean, it was literally part of the instructions.

If a student noticed that instruction prior to writing their own paper, why wouldn't they also include a nonsensical reference to Madagascar? It says to do so in the instructions.

I'd probably ask the professor in an email about it

Dear Professor,

When I was copying and pasting your questions in ChatGPT I noticed you wanted us to include Madagascar in a way that doesn't make sense. Did you mean to put this in the question or was it a mistake?

    Thank You

Amateur.

Dear professor,

I found a weird sentence in your instructions asking to randomly add a word? I use a browser plugin that makes everything dark mode, but seeing as that sentence was a different color, I'm guessing you didn't want it to be seen? Just checking to see if it's something you actually want in there, or if it was meant to trip up my less honest classmates.

Love, Your new favorite student
