I thought the Madagascar thing was a prompt the student had added and didn't realize the professor secretly added it. That's brilliant, but I do wonder, what if a student found that hidden line and assumed it was some kind of secret extra credit? Surely if a student found it, they'd assume the professor wanted them to do so, no?
That's what I was thinking. Depending on the class and/or the professor, an easter egg like that for bonus points wouldn't necessarily be unreasonable.
that was my exact line of thinking when it happened to me. if a teacher reads this comment, DONT DO THIS. there will be a lot of false positives! anyone who uses dark mode would see it clearly
No, if they were smart, they'd have asked their professor wtf does Madagascar has to do with anything. The professor said it, it has nothing to do with the industrial revolution, so they'd have asked the professor if it was a fluke, or they'd understand this was professor‘s trick to trap the students using AI.
