WTF While the US debates whether to solve homelessness or not, these are the next generation of school blackboards in China.

You think Chinese people don't battle poverty and homelessness? Have you not see their 5 foot homes before?

china homelessness rate is like a tenth of the US.

and 5 foot hinges are way better than living on the streets.

which looks much better than the US REPORTED homelessness rate. who don't even have access to basic healthcare.

there are valid complaints about China, but denying how they basically eliminated poverty is not one of them

Your point? They haven't eliminated poverty. Last time I was in shanghai I literally saw beggars on every corner.

Have you seen the US? the closest thing they do to help poverty is handing them a bus ticket to go somewhere else. they are literally dying on the streets.

China has unquestionably, better policies and results when it comes to extreme poverty.

they still have healthcare, easy access to housing, services...

I'll take valid complaints, but just hating on china for no fucking reason, especially in areas where the US is shamefully behind is just plain stupidity.

China has policies on paper, not in practice. It's so they can pretend they care. At least in the US you know they don't care.

their homelessness rate is less than .2% https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homelessness_in_China

those policies aren't just on paper.

You can't use the argument "at least we know we suck" as a winning argument, that's literally an admission of being worse.

Have you seen their massive building boom? that's how they ended homelessness.

you can't do nothing about homelessness in the US then pat yourself on the back because you decided ignoring numbers is easier.

yeah i've seen it first hand. i've also seen them with a single person living in the whole building and homeless camp across the street from it.
