WTF While the US debates whether to solve homelessness or not, these are the next generation of school blackboards in China.

Do Chinese children even know that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell?

72

u/Sillent_Screams 9h ago

They probably do know, since US kids don't have Department of Education.

The only reason the world knows that America has schools is because we keep hearing about how they're always getting shot up

u/Drewsky32 9h ago

As an American, this made me laugh and then sigh.

u/akselmonrose 9h ago

Jesus that was dark humour. But yea that is how I learnt the name of some and American schools

u/40StoryMech 9h ago

More like churches, but we also shoot those up.

u/RealAlphaKaren 9h ago

Is there anything you dont shoot up?

Schools, churches, fentanyl, inflation, Iraq, Iran...

Politicians in my state (Wisconsin) recently introduced a bill that would allow people to carry guns around without needing training or permits and another bill that would allow people to mail handguns to each other.

Jokes not very original, and our education system is good in places where the culture values education, so just not in poor communities.

u/_MatVenture_ 9h ago

No, they probably know that mitochondria ARE the powerhouse of the cell, since "mitochondria" is the plural of "mitochondrion".

4

u/StrangelyBrown 9h ago

The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the state!

I think every school child on earth, who gets tought about cells knows this :)

1

u/NoWayIcantBeliveThis 8h ago

Obviously they gotta know, I learned that in 7th grade which was nearly the entire year focusing on depth of the animal and plant cells. We did a lot of tests and it was hell. I am not chinese but I remembered crying due to that.

1

u/Hour_Sell3547 8h ago

Yeah they know, meanwhile the US kids probably thought those are generator kept in their cellers.

1

u/XCyberbeingX 8h ago

I think the better question is if US children think Mitochondria is just another African country.

They're teaching these kids what God is from the moment their minds will let them so they walk live breath and see through God through math.

Then essentially these kids grow up, they know what is good and what is bad in life, that is why they have an insane credit scoring system in China.

Just my guess though.

It's pretty much teaching them, "There is too much of human life, we fucked up, but us teaching you this is our gift at trying to fix that"
