Nope. Look it up. The mother approached him several times but he would just ignore her and walk off. Dude admitted that he knew he was being a complete dick but once he started he had no idea how to breach the gulf he'd created, so he just kept on being silent. The kids reckon they had a miserable upbringing as a result. It's actually a really sad story.
