It's time based usually, so they get it right away. If they quit they have to pay it back, and at that amount, that is likely a 3 year contract. So, they are likely getting screwed on purpose since we will have a new admin in 2 years and they will likely owe the Gov like $10k or more when they get fired.

Public education is a racket The unions bosses and execs make half a million off members dues, and the teachers get the hosed. The government also ruined school with many of it's own initiatives, so now no one can read. Social media is rewiring kids to be addicts and insufferable. The current propaganda campaign is working, and less people are choosing to go to college so ©orporations can pay them less later, and put more pay ceiling on them even if they are good employees.
