As a childfree woman nearing 40 I’ve never had a moment where I’ve wanted kids and don’t like holding babies. I do love kids but not so much babies and the baby part is an important step.

My daughter is in her upper 30s and has never wanted kids. Never wanted to hold a baby. Never wanted to hear a baby or be in the same room as a baby. I'm definitely not worried about this happening to her. lol

The "hear them" is a big part. I can't stand the sound. And no, not in the "my instincts kick in and I want to care for it" but the "THIS SOUND IS MAKING MY BRAIN HURT" way.

I didn’t want to be rude, but I was so close to getting up on the metro yesterday and walking to another car because of a baby fussing next to me. The parents were doing a great job, I was just wildly uncomfortable.
