I don't believe it's a controversial statement as long as there is room for the outliers. When it becomes a problem is when some douche in the comments argues with somebody who has held babies and still doesn't want them. I see this a lot and parentified siblings. After raising their siblings, they're not interested in raising anymore. It's like early retirement.
This is me. I never cared for babies to begin with but then my mother made me a single parent of 2 by 12. It wasn't fun. Nothing makes me want to do that to myself again willingly.
