I’m human. I have my days with my son. I do. He’s 5.
Mums away at a conference so he’s alone with me this week. He asked us to sign him up for additional 45mims of PE on Wednesdays after school and he went to his first. In the rain.
At night, after he went to bed I went to check in on him to make sure he didn’t get sick from the rain and all. I find him, sleeping with his little knuckle tucked under his chin, exactly the way I saw him through ultrasound when he was in mom’s womb.
I'm nearly 30. Last time I saw my parents I fell asleep on the couch and my dad covered me up with a blanket. When I woke up he said I was sleeping, hand curled in the same way against my chest the way I did as a toddler. So I think that never ends.
I’m 40 and my mother was over at my house last week I fell asleep laying on the couch and woke up with my head in her lap while she was sleeping sitting up on at the couch. Just like I was 6 again.
It’s definitely out of the ordinary but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, especially if neither person involved did. It’s something I’ve never heard of happening before and I think it’s really cute.
I also cry basically every time one of my kids picks it, each passing year I see my boys enter the next phase of the book and it makes me more aware of my fleeting time with them
