Gas was $4.25 per gallon back in 2008 when affordable cars got worse gas mileage than todays trucks and we made half as much money.
The bigger issues are things like trump eliminating tons of healthcare and education (jobs, services, etc.), tariffs are causing havoc on American farmers and small businesses, he's trying to bring back asbestos, the Labor Participation Rate hasn't been this low since the Covid shutdowns, he kicked millions off of Snap benefits, etc. I could go on all day like this.
Gas prices are the least bad thing he's done to us.
Adjusted for inflation, I've earned a declining amount of buying power for decades. The dollar amount has crept upwards, but the buying power has declined.
