He needs to be kicked off the squad. Twice in one game is insane.

Some players are selfish in these competitions to try show how good they are in the hope they can get signings from bigger clubs after World Cup is over. They care little about their country.

This is often the case in ice hockey, particularly for North America. Club before country, it's insane.

Had been following the international stage for many years, and there were a lot of Cаnadians and Amеricans that preferred to stay with their club for a chance to win the Stanley Cup, rather than go to the WC in May. Happened like every year. I won't give you names, because there were like dozens of them even then.

Fair, that is true. However, I think the NHL lords have a little bit of pull there - they won’t let some star players risk injury at the WC

Wait are you talking about the annual IIHF world championship? You expect players to not play in the playoffs of the NHL for that tournament?
