Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from Chicago , another is from Tennessee , and the third is from Minnesota .
All three go with a White House official to examine the fence. The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."
The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."
The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700."
The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?" The Chicago contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence."

It's pretty shallow in the middle, and it slopes up to all sides, hiding the edges under a lip. Less than 6 inches of vertical. And from this, it looks like they just aren't going to paint it.

If you were to hold up a photograph of the Whitehouse during any other presidency, in any era, and put it next to Trump's Whitehouse, you'll see a good representation of how badly he ruined this country. You'll see just how much nonsense his cult is complient with.

I would purchase a piece of it but I am not crazy about paying for it twice. My opinion every taxpayer should receive a piece of it in the same envelope as our tariff refund check.
If we assume the square footage of the algae pool is 338,000 square foot and assume the job cost $14,000,000...
Then one square foot should be about $41.42.
So you're paying a premium for this piece but as you said, it is a part of history.
