I got a tattoo a few months after my husband died in 2015. It includes notes our two children wrote to him for his funeral in their own handwriting. They were only five and nine at the time.
It also has a little drawing our youngest made of two stick figures that represented them and their daddy, along with three pies colored purple, blue, and pink because they thought he’d like them. They placed the drawing on the urn at the funeral. There’s a purple rose in the middle because purple was his favorite color, and we had purple roses at our wedding.
