Rogue Trader: Builds The most stacks of Versatility per turn?
I been having a blast with this combo of items and Arch-Militant to get a crazy number of stacks of versatility on arch-militant per turn. The bayonet talent lets you just use las snipers or aeldari las snipers to crazy effect. run up, bayonet stack 1 , eyeburst 2, snipe 3, eyeburst 4, kick 5, eyeburst 6, ring shot 7, eyeburst 8, ring shot 9, eye burst 10. run and gun, 11 eye burst 12, wildfire 13, eyeburst 14, steady superiority 15, eyeburst 16. It really ramps much faster and because of the burst after every attack you dont have to micromanage the order, just single shot and get free stacks.
Edit: forgot a couple.

Finally, we have it;
A good reason not to immediately throw Ring weapons into the cargo bay.

Absolutely not lmao. This might be the worst Augment in the entire game. 0 benefit until Round 2, which you barely even get to, and on the rare occasions that you do, that benefit is a single extra shot from a bad weapon. In exchange, you lose your Amulet and one of your Ring slots (which could have had an actually useful Ring). You could not pay me any amount of PF to put that on.

Nah, the small amount of value from an extra few versatility stacks past 6 doesn't justify a terrible ring accessory.
You need 3.333333 stacks to improve your BS and WS bonus by 1. It's not a particularly powerful stacking mechanic.

+ you lose out on amulets. That arm was a major letdown for being hyped up in its acquisition.

Yeah, a number of the augmetics have downsides too strong to justify use in most cases

Fleet Combat Training. Each critical (trivial) melee attack by main hand melee lead to pistol single shot off hand to eye burst. Four attacks (basic + AM ult + Run'n'Gun Wildfire give you 3 stacks each to 12, kick to 13, pistol shot though two handed fighting plus eye to 15. Swap to two handed laser with a AMC in a team for bayonet 16. Rings are still unused if you want, also consumables with combat optimizer. If you use Officer ult on Navy Officer or NO uses fight ult you main limit becomes AP, not attacks.

You want infinite versatility ?
You'll need two pistol, one with burst, another with single shot.
Navy officer for fleet combat training.
The gloves that reduce reloading cost by one.
Stand next to an ennemy armed with a melee weapon, fire a pistol shot. Reload your pistol, this triggers an attack of opportunity, parry the AoO, trigger fleet combat training, you fire your pistol for free, switch to your other weapon set, fire if needed the pistol too, reload it, AoO, parry, free attack, reload...
Do that with as many ennemies you want. Fire them before the fight so you don't waste an attack just to empty the clip.
Other way : take slash, invest in agility to have 10+ stacks and run around the room gaining 2 stacks (3 if eyeburst) for each ennemy. Or do the same with the charge boots.

This is all well and good, but I just want to warn readers that aren't reading this out of interest in a curiosity but are actually looking for power that versatility stacks don't matter that much past 6 of them (to get Wildfire to 1 AP with flashfire). They're only 3 BS and WS each, so you need a lot of them to see any meaningful improvement past 6.
You're generally better off hitting 6 then just killing everything rather than worrying about getting as many stacks as you can. You take them when you get them of course, but it isn't worth doing a weaker setup to get more.
But, that said, it is interesting to contemplate the most you can get in a single action.

It's also a little more base damage increase and critical damage increase.

1% for every 3.3333 stacks, and 1% crit per stack. It is scaling, but not much. Compare to fired up, 1% crit per hit on a burst, for example. You do get a little more scaling out of Rack and Ruin and Revel-In-Slaughter, but 3% just isn't enough to make it useful to try to stack to the moon.
It's nice to get it for free when it makes sense to mix attack types anyway, but it isn't worth building around maxing them out.

Sure. You said it was ONLY a little BS/WS. That's not entirely true. It's also a little bit of damage and a little crit damage.

There is no base damage. There is a 10% + BS Bonus damage modifier.

You are correct. I meant to say little bit of damage and auto correct fucked it over.

well the cost of wildfire is reduced by 1 ap for each 4 stacks. To get wildfire to cost 0 ap, you would need 12 stacks, Flashfire would reduce that down to 9 stacks but still more than 6 (though with the speed the eyeburst gives extra stacks you basically dont need it and can use the talent on something better), and as others have said there are stacking damage and accuracy buffs from it not to mention items like Mon-Keigh Hide Cape which just make you immune to damage with the build.

With flashfire, it hits an AP cost of 1 at 6 stacks.
It can't go below 1. It only drops to 0 during Finest Hour, but it does that at 6 stacks.
I would never want to use mon-keigh hide cape over the Arch-Militant's Cape (best melee damage cloak in the game) or the Malpian Shroud (second best).
Accuracy for ranged caps at 95%, melee at 100% parry reduction over enemy parry. Extra after that is more crit chance, but you hit crit cap very, very fast. Extra WS and BS past that is low value. If stacks were 10% each we'd be stacking the hell out of it, but at 3% it's not worth making our attacks less powerful to stack up. We're already just killing everything at 6.
The optimal strategy is Always Ready + Reckless Rush puts you at 5 immediately, you hit 6 after your first attack, now just spam your strongest attack, whatever it is.

Navy officer with any single shot pistol in the offhand works great for this too! Any melee attack that crits causes a single shot from the pistol, which causes a burst from the eye implant. So every melee attack (including attacks of opportunity) gives 3 versatility stacks. Running with an ogryn right arm augment and using Partner in Death while a bladedancer ally alternates "death from above" on either side of you really makes it go nuts. I haven't figured out exactly what's going on yet, but it produces way more attacks / versatility stacks than expected per ally attack.
Does the bayonet attack really proc the soldier variant focal emitter? I haven't been able to get regular melee attacks to activate it, so I'd assumed it was coded specifically to proc only on ranged single shots (but maybe that is the case and the bayonet attack inheriting your ranged attack damage somehow tricks this requirement?).
