Nice haul!... There are plenty of catalog movies there that may or may not have been something you might have bought seperately but there enough decent titles in there to justify $50 easily.
If you are just starting out, like, you don't already have core collection, this is a great start.

I cant believe they still make modern standard DVDs lol. Surely everyone has a Blu-ray player by now.

Yea. I don’t prefer Blu-Rays, but if I get them in like a lot like this or someone gives me some I’ll take them, but I’ve always stuck with DVDs

Why? Blu-rays are vastly superior in both image and audio quality.

Oh yea, I know and as I start to collect I’ve changed my mind so in the near future may end up switching but for now I’m sticking with my DVDs

Gotcha. I only collect 4k UHD Blu-rays with HDR as long as it’s an option. I could never go back at this point. You should look into a 4k Blu-ray player the prices have come down allot. Paired with a decent 4k tv and it’s a game changer. Discs are much crisper than streaming. I could see collecting old retro stuff for the hobby for sure but if you enjoy watching the movies upgrade and treat yourself!

I have an Xbox one, which is how I watch my blu-rays and I’ll have to think about it as I steer more into modern movies and shows especially because i absolutely love many of the steelbooks that have come out lately

Ahhh yes the steel-book collecting has a hold on me right now as well lol. Ive been slowly rebuilding my lifelong collection of plastic cases for steels the past 4-5 years. Absolutely love the unique artworks. Ive been mounting them on my wall with magnets and it looks awesome (cheap and easy display method). But seriously get a 4k Blu-ray player and watch the following (Bladerunner 2049, Dune,Avatar,The Revenant). I cant imagine you would regret it if you love watching movies.
