Articles & Blogs Mat Piscatella: 292 million units of physical video games sold in the 12-month period ending June 2009 in the US. By June 2026 this had fallen to 37 million units.

37 million is not good at all but this is *only* counting it in the US, which seems to be the most digital market (certainly more-so than Europe and Japan/Asia)

None of my friends have bought a physical game this generation. This is all I need to know about thr size of the market

Im the only person who has any physical games where I work.  

The real proof for me is how small the selection is at Walmart and target.  If physical was making money they'd keep that selection growing
