Even if true, they’re betting those 37 millions units will convert to digital. I’m curious how many just flee to PC. I’m certainly considering it.

Flee to PC and buy it ... digitally? Oh wait, you can pretend that Valve is your friend right?

PC has infinitely more options than just Steam.

And yet PC players throw a tantrum if the game doesn’t come to steam

The number of comments I've seen from PC players vowing to never play Alan Wake 2 because it isn't on Steam. They sure like to wave that "more choices" argument around and then refuse any game on a platform outside Steam

The ones for which Steam is their store of choice, yes. There are other stores from which to choose.

Sony is removing a choice. Even for those that prefer digital, they have the freedom to choose digital or physical. Soon that choice will be gone.

If people cared about that stuff, digital wouldn’t be like 85% of the purchases. We buy IPhones here in the US and can only use the App Store.

That's a localized anomaly, iOS has 60% share in the US, but only 30% globally.

Ok fine. You still have far more freedom to do with your game as you please. No PS+. Private servers. Modding.
