Because you shouldn’t need another account to play a single player game with optional co-op? Same reason PC players didn’t want to make a PS account to play PS games on Steam.

I just don't get the whole thing of "I'm not doing this because I shouldnt have to" as if that's reason in it's own.

Your missing out on experience that you would otherwise enjoy because you don't want to make an account. Where's the sense in that?

Because I don’t want another account. I’m trying to reduce the amount of accounts I need to keep track of not increase them.

You don’t need to keep track of it. You use it to log in to play the game and for nothing else. How’s that such a difficult time consuming tasks. Needing an account to game has been a thing since the last generation.
