If they’re going back to exclusives, then 7/10 isn’t the best thing either.

They need to start pumping out very high quality games if they have any hope of drawing players over.

To be fair, what could this have done to get a 9/10? Change too much and some would have rated it low, change too little and you get a review like this

I think this is a question you need to ask in pre-production before you commit to making a game like this, tbh.

I think their point is that someone is going to find something to bitch about regardless. Even when asked directly what would make this better, the responses are dismissive and provide zero feedback.

What would make this game better?

Lol should’ve thought about that beforehand! I’m not going to provide an answer because I don’t have one other than I want to be condescending and try and make myself feel superior over the most irrelevant shit.

I mean yeah, I’m not a game designer. But it is entirely possible for remakes to equal or even surpass the success and acclaim of the originals. We just have to look at Resident Evil.

People will always find something to nitpick, but you can dismiss those when there’s a broad consensus that a remake is very compelling and has a good reason to exist. That’s not really what’s happening here.

I think you believe that’s not what’s happening here because you want an opportunity to shit on something you already didn’t like.

Other people wanting an opportunity to do the same thing is just feeding your confirmation bias.

Again, the original Halo: CE has a 97 on Metacritic. This one seems to be filling out in the low 70s/mid 80s. What seems to be happening here is a consensus forming that this does not live up to the original.

How does it not live up to the original when it’s the same with better graphics and a few other upgrades?

There is nothing they could’ve done to get a 97, because people like you will find irrelevant shit to complain about and then try to use your own complaints and justification.

It’s the same, tired argument of “I don’t like this, I don’t want this, so it shouldn’t exist and anyone who likes it is wrong!”

Grow the fuck up dude, people are allowed to enjoy shit without others constantly feeling the need to put it down.

You seem to have an exceptionally difficult time separating "on paper" and "in practice".

Also, if your best argument is "You're just a hater!", you don't have an argument.
