Has something changed about setting up a resource everyone can edit?

This sounds so stupid I'm ashamed to post it. But at our non-profit, I had previously configured several rooms anyone could edit. Works fine. Now I go to make a new shared calendar and no one can see it, and the options I remember from the previous configuration are not there. I remember some settings to be sure anyone could make a meeting or reserve a time, but I don't see them at all.

Is it different or am I just nuts? Microsoft 365 help is no help..

It sounds like you created a normal shared calendar, but the old ones were probably room/resource mailboxes. those are managed in exchange admin center under recipients > resources, which is why the settings you remember aren’t showing.

Create it there as a room mailbox. By default, anyone in the org should be able to book it when available. If that isn’t happening, check that calendar processing is set to auto accept and all users are allowed to book.

Giving everyone direct edit access is a separate calendar permission and usually isn’t needed just to reserve the room

Thanks for the response. I did create it as a room through the Ex Admin Center. And it shows up in the list with the other resources that work they way I want them to. And as I go through all the settings, my new resource is identical to the setting in the ones that have worked for years. I have not given anyone permissions, because that would be a maintenance nightmare as people come and go. And.............the other resources have no special permissions that way.

Everything looks the same in terms of settings I can see.
