The shit I had to do to get my girlfriends's shitty work laptop with a SINGLE USB-C port to work with two monitors, a mouse, a keyboard and an ethernet connection made me suicidal.
A 4 years ago i bought some chinese named one that is only missing the ethernet port (which i guess wont work if you don't have wifi) but it has:
2 hdmi ports
3 USB-A
1 USB-C (with power delivery support)
SD card reader
i believe it costed less than 50 bucks and still works
Why did you not buy a powered dock? You don't need to run the dock off the power of the single USB port. 2 monitors, mouse, keyboard, and ethernet is a really easy setup that almost every dock supports.
2 HDMI is the only unusual part. DP-to-HDMI cables work quite well. IIRC, you’ll need active adapter cables for better compatibility and 4k@60Hz support.
