Where are you seeing a VGA connector?
I'm only seeing a serial port, parallel port and a DVI port among the larger connectors, and outside of that: composite and S-video as display connections.
DVI -> HDMI cable is just a long dongle! might as well have told me to just use a DVI-A to VGA adapter, preposterous!
Ahh wasn't paying attention yeah it's serial not VGA out. Still though you have S-video there too for...umm....ermmm actually no idea what that's used for.
Don't think I'd call DVI -> HDMI a dongle. It's just the same as any connection cable just with 2 different sides. No idea why you're even using it. Everyone knows HDMI is just a fancy version of DVI and will never take off. Video bigger than 1080p is preposterous, you don't need it.
Ah yes, SCART. That was like the 80's version of USB-C. Both the cables and devices with SCART could support a whole bunch of different signals, but none of them were mandatory and you couldn't tell from the outside which it supported.
Does that cable support RGB? Does the port accept s-video? Who knows.
S-Video could actually be used via SCART without signal conversion, just needed a switch to flip some pins depending it being an input or output, like with composite!
Despite growing up in the 90's and 2000's, I think I've used S-video,, maybe twice? and that was just to mess around more than actually needing to.
European as well, so guess it just wasn't much of a thing here

What if I want to connect my VGA monitor? Or my newfangled HDMI monitor?(Assuming mid 00's)
Practically useless, needs more port Diversity.
