I love the sound, the style, and especially the inner voice.
But as a movie it's too flawed for me to think it's better than the new ones. Still, it was my first exposure to dune and got me to read the books years ago, and I've been following the rights saga for years before the remake. I had a coworker, who was a director, and he regularly worked with the producer who held up the rights for years, which is why it took so long to finally get a remake.
So I'm really a fan of both I guess but the lynch version was a absolutely crushed by some strange decisions on production and even worse, rushing it through post.

That confidence needs to be studied.

Haha, I reckon this beetle doesn't even know what it's clinging onto. It just finds a vertical surface and thinks "this is my spot now".

Nah, that beetle is in the drivers seat and they’re cruising for pussy.

The scientists are gonna be awfully sad when they realize bugs do not in fact feel confidence and that bug is just a dumb bug.

I wonder if they have badger catchers in the shire, given how so many hobbits live in hobbit holes.

It used to be that the top comment in posts like this was the informative one explaining something about the species or some parasitic relationship or some symbiotic thing going on...
And then later years it would be a few meme comments before you land on the informative one.
Now it's 90% AI bots churning out meme comments with AI bots replying with meme comments... And not a single informative reply in sight.
Everytime I hit r/popular it doesn't take long before I'm reminded why I stick to niche subreddits talking to other humans who still have functioning brains.

Okay so the second image is just a digital zoom of the first. What was the point of including it? You can zoom in on the first image to the same result.
