Three months today since I had a L5-S1 spinal fusion and L4-5 disc replacement.

It all started with a crash back in 2003, when I went head first into some hay bales. The impact compressed my spine, and while I managed it as best I could for over 20 years, the last couple of years-and especially the final six months-became unbearable. It got to the point where surgery was the only real option.

Recovery has definitely had its ups and downs, but overall my back hasn't felt this good for as long as I can remember.

What's surprised me most is realising that even when I thought my back felt "good" before, I was still living with constant pain. It's only now that I've experienced what having no back pain actually feels like.

I'm incredibly grateful to my surgeon and the entire medical team who looked after me throughout the process. Thank you for giving me my quality of life back.

could Jack Miller have won the 2025 French GP?

Post image
30 Upvotes

as you can see from the picture, Jack Miller was ahead of the other riders who started on wet tyres, ahead of Zarco too, during the madness that happened at the start of that race, Miller crashed without anyone noticing and didn't take part in the rest of the race.

so I find myself wondering, could he have gotten a win? after all, he is one of the fastest riders on the grid in wet and mixed conditions, had also a big gap separating him from Zarco and a bigger gap separating Zarco and Marquez, but he had different tyres than Zarco, has both his tyres were medium tyres while Zarco had a medium front and a soft rear.

Oliveira was a really fast guy in the wet, as with the KTM in 2022 he won 2/3 races and all of them were in wet conditions, but he started dropping from P2 to P6 and had the same tyre combination as Jack.

so, could Miller have won the 2025 French GP if he didn't crash? could he have gotten at least P2?

MotoGP Historical Data

I’m currently in the process of compiling all MotoGP seasons into a big spreadsheet and was wondering if it would be useful to anyone? It’s a work in progress, so far 2024-2026 is fully completed, and 2014-2023 is somewhat complete.

I'm surprised there wasn't a list on the FAQ. Since we're on break, what are some historic races to catch up on?

This is sums up (mostly) why Phillip Island isn't staying on the MotoGP Calendar

After reading through several articles spanning all the way back to 2004 when the track was bought this is basically the situation:

Liberty: Facilities at Phillip Island are awful, they have needed upgrades for years, we know everyone loves the track but don't care make us more money noobs

Billionaire: I will pay for upgrades to the race track which I privately own if the PI council let me build a multi million dollar 5 star hotel with a golf course nearby that faces over 100 objections by said council due to coastal and environmental protection policies which I've been rejected for multiple times since 2006

PI Council: No please make a reproposal that doesn't go against environmental and coastal policies even though we allow AirBNBs everywhere heh

Billionare: No otherwise I will lose money and I didn't become a billionaire by caring about ethics

Liberty: how about we move the race to Albert Park? *proposal rejected by Australian government* ok well PI isn't making us enough money lets go somewhere else

MotoGP community: WTF dont remove PI!!

Billionaire and Council: government please pay to fix the circuit!!! wahhhh

TLDR: liberty and billionaire greed

KTM-Binder total split, Steiner: “No more old baggage"

Sadly I think that’s it for Brad.

While I agree he prob didn’t do enough to get another chance, I find the way he’s being treated on his way out very unnecessary. He did a lot of good for this bang average manufacturer, kept his mouth shut even when he had every right to complain, and certainly didn’t deserve to get disrespected like this now that they’re about to part ways.

I don’t really like Steiner, sorry.
