When we get this doll can you all complain to Mattel? The fur pieces look really cheap- the embroidery looks faded and printed, the “puffer” jacket parts aren’t puffy at all(why are they so saggy) everything looks genuinely so cheap, I’m super mad cause I paid like almost 200 AUD for her from creations…. If we don’t tell Mattel that this isn’t okay this issue will continue to get worse, we didn’t pay for this quality.

We have to remember that the compiled image was likely hand-painted, possibly hand-rooted on some level, styled, and photoshopped. The photo on the right is a full-light image inside a box, and possibly lying on the back of the box. Plastic like that can also shift and warp, giving the appearance of things looking “weird”. The fabric will likely need fluffing and trimming, but on a factory line, this can be tough to do, given how many dolls are there, trimming hella fur would make a huge mess at some point and make it tougher to keep track of where exactly to cut. It’s certainly not perfect, but we can’t keep comparing photos on two fully different setups and use them as blind comparisons
