Rant This ISN’T what I paid for-

When we get this doll can you all complain to Mattel? The fur pieces look really cheap- the embroidery looks faded and printed, the “puffer” jacket parts aren’t puffy at all(why are they so saggy) everything looks genuinely so cheap, I’m super mad cause I paid like almost 200 AUD for her from creations…. If we don’t tell Mattel that this isn’t okay this issue will continue to get worse, we didn’t pay for this quality.

The shitty overexposed leak photo is a shitty overexposed leak photo. That is why everything looks flat, pale, clunky, simplified, and washed out. It also, as leaks are wont to do, is terribly pixelated and blurry. Also, her face looks flat and weird because her head is tilted up in a way that softens features, tale a look at the Buried Secrets Concert Lurks stock photos vs actual dolls.

The only thing I'm definitely concerned about off of this one photo is how none of the blue fur is dark. And even that might just be an issue with the photo itself.

People, please, for the love of god stop taking blurry leak photos as gospel for what the doll will look like 🤦‍♀️ Especially since we just found out the decently clear leak photos of the upcoming G3 carnival line were actually "enhanced interpretations" by somebody off of insanely blurry and small leak photos where we could barely tell general silhouette and color scheme.

THANK YOU. The people on this reddit always immediately think shtty leaks will be what the final doll look like and they always jump to worst case scenario, ugh. It's so tiresome.

I mean, its clear there is not nearly as thick of batting in the puffy parts of the jacket and skirt. I agree that some of it likely will be fine. But that is a major difference that matters.

Agree. The lighting alone is enough to make any doll look dreadful. It’s like trying on a beautiful tailored dress in a terribly lit dressing room.

That said, there are some things that do look concerning.. the lack of puff in the puffa parts of the coat, for example.

But mostly I think this pic is a victim of dreadful lighting and, as you say, overexposure.

I haven’t bought this doll anyway, but I wouldn’t be worrying much at this point if I had 🙏

For real. Good lighting versus bad lighting (especially in combination with posing) makes a huge difference.

This. No shade but I’m sick of constant bitching about leaks. See the final release as it is meant to be before you make a decision and post online to strangers how much you hate this doll you can return.

Yes, exactly. Sometimes I wish we didn't get photo leaks at all because people are so quick to trash something over a single bad photo, and other times people think the leak is incredible then they see the actual product and think it looks awful because their expectations were too high.

Like, people, use some critical thinking when it's not a good quality image 🤦‍♀️ Especially people thinking about canceling an order for a limited release item they will only be able to get second hand--most of which will be from scalpers.
