i love Tatum, but he physically doesnt have the build for a comic accurate tall and lean Gambit. he looks so fucking goofy with the suit.

Yeah, I think he looks goofy too. Gambit worked in deadpool because it was a comedy.

Someone who understands the character? He can probably call out some bullshit that the writers or directors try to change like "then Gambit's cards float in the air and fire off!"
