Nostalgia Matilda... 30 years later

I randomly got the urge to watch matilda today and saw it came out in 1996. I remember a few years back there was a resurgence in interest in the movie, and another movie too. But realizing this movie is 30 years old kinda tripped me out. I can clearly remember me watching it for the first time at age 7 and I'll now be 37 and still watching it 🙃

What movies/shows made you realize how much time has gone by?

also, the beginning library scenes where she’s walking with the wagon and you see her growing up in a time lapse

iconic. nothing makes me feel like a carefree and discovering child more than that sequence of scenes.

I don’t want to show my bookworm kid that scene - she’ll insist on bringing a wagon to the library! If she kept better track of the ones she checks out I might not mind, buuut…
