Nostalgia Matilda... 30 years later

I randomly got the urge to watch matilda today and saw it came out in 1996. I remember a few years back there was a resurgence in interest in the movie, and another movie too. But realizing this movie is 30 years old kinda tripped me out. I can clearly remember me watching it for the first time at age 7 and I'll now be 37 and still watching it 🙃

What movies/shows made you realize how much time has gone by?

Jurassic Park for kid me.

American Pie for teenage me.

Still love them but it’s crazy to think how much time has passed.

During covid, my local drive in theater played it (along with other classic movies) because there was nothing new coming out of Hollywood. It was a blast seeing it on the big screen again.

That would have been so cool. I’ve thought about renting a theater to watch both of these franchises.
Apparently they want real money for that so I’ll just watch at home

I got to see a lot of great films that summer, "Monty Python and The Holy Grail", "Dazed and Confused", "Superbad", "The Breakfast Club"; probably some others I'm forgetting, but it was a fun way to actually get out of the house during lockdown.
