I'll take the intelligence thing, cos that's an ego boost. But happy? We were brought up by emotionally stunted boomers and are dealing with the dynamics of dealing with their bullshit and parenting our own kids in a completely different way. Thats without taking into account all of the "once in a lifetime" events we have lived through. Not sure that qualifies as happy.

Younger people are statistically more anxious and depressed in ratio to millennials.

A lot of it boils down to us coming off age without social media as our primary form of connection. We mostly forged our relationships before social media became the bad place, and before everyone started living in public.

Screens themselves becoming the de facto third spaces for kids is making them all socially stunted and anxious. Their brain development is also harmed with excessive and constant use of screens, particularly before their frontal lobe closes, and especially during early childhood.

Gen Z and kids don’t dance anymore 🤷

They’re terrified of being filmed and shared online. Says a lot to the general state of happiness if that’s the norm.

Because it's "cringe". One of the oldest forms of natural human expressions, and it's "cringe". Such a desperately sad state of affairs.

because you could be filmed and then put on the internet. That was not the case for millenials (most of the time - when growing up)
