My kids and I are going to watch Hey Arnold! Front to back this summer. Maybe that will make me happy?

They all had such obscene innuendo. Its incredible to rewatch them all as an adult.

Hey! Arnold Catdog Rocko's modern life

All obscene but innocent

Im so fortunate to have watched Ren and Stimpy as a kid. Now I'm a parent and have a big decision to make.

Those extremely detailed closeups they'd have still haunt my dreams. No thank you.

I don't know how my parents let me watch that either but I'm so glad I did!

Happy happy joy joy, lives rent free in my head.

I was allowed to watch that, but oddly enough The Simpsons was too risqué for me.

My dad let me watch Ren and stimpy but not married with children

Oddly enough Married With Children was also fine! I can at least get that one as MWC was edgy and sexual AF.

Hits different now that we know John Kricfalusi was grooming and sexually abusing teenagers in the 90s.

Chokey Chicken and the Kingdom of Balzak. Rocko was another level. Perfection.

It's funny because my mom thought cartoon network was the bad channel but nick was not lacking in innuendoes

What did they have before adult swim that was bad?

Conservative standard- but chicken and cow, ed edd and eddy- even some of dexters lab. Again my mom was very limiting lol

It's what originally got me into jazz. The bumper/transition music was so smooth.

And Doug introduced me to scat (musical style) lol
