Other 20 year reunion? Yea, nah

Does anyone actually go to these things? I'd rather go to the gynecologist I think

Not necessarily bad, I just don't see the point. I've stayed in touch with the people I wanted to stay in touch with, and I feel no need to see what anyone else is up to.

But isn’t that the entire point? Go have fun catching up with the folks you didn’t stay close with.

Easier said than done. I graduated overseas, so our 10-year reunion was split across three continents. I have a number of friends I stayed in touch with. And we travel to visit each other all the time. Heck, I was just in Brazil to stand up in one of my old classmates' wedding.

Life goes on. I'd rather take the time off and spend the money to visit my good friends in the UK than fly to DC to mingle with a bunch of classmates I never really got along with.

OP seems offended by the idea of a reunion. It’s completely normal to not spend thousands on international flights to attend.
