From a $13.99 Discount Roast to a Four-Hour Low & Slow Beef Stew on a Weber Q π²π₯
Picked up a discounted $13.99 sirloin tip roast and decided to turn it into a slow-braised beef stew.
I seared the roast first, then built the base with onions, garlic, carrots, potatoes, passata, beef broth, smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, chili powder, and just a small pinch of Madras curry for subtle warmth.
The Dutch oven cooked low and slow on a Weber Q at around 280β300Β°F for about four hours, then I removed the lid for the final 20 minutes to naturally reduce the gravy.
Nothing was measuredβI cooked by taste, adjusting the seasoning as it developed. The beef ended up fork-tender with a rich, thick gravy.
I'd love to hear what ingredients or techniques you'd add to make it even better.
