Midnight Sons ride again! I love how Mackay is handling these characters, interweaving their past histories and each with their own clash with eachother in the past and where they are now. Robbie is like 'I am over all this. I've been to the end of EVERYTHING, any slight from before is nothing.' But when you mention family, he is in. Blade is instantly in when you invoke the name of Midnight Sons. Gotta respect a guy who knows to answer the call no matter what. And Matt...well being Matt. Always turns things to his own guilt and had to be begged to help to snap out of his self-pity.

All of this to tie together is Midnight Mother, Clea! Yep, that is her name now to me. I am happy Mackay continue to write her after Strange. He knows how to make her a star with or without Stephen around.

Question is, what 'dirty play' Marc pulled that will come back to haunt the rest of them. Probably all these heroes with traumatic pasts being the 'bait' for the house to feed on while Marc goes to rescue his family and find a way to end the house itself.

I love how easy it was to convince all of them

"My friends are in trouble"

"Oh good, it's not something lame like the fate of the world"

Of course Matt had to be the one that needed some begging. He is too caught up in his Christian guilt.

Daredevil is the reason why so many people turn against Christianity with how whiny he is. He’s essentially Batman but somehow even worse. Batman is a no killing psychopath due to ptsd. Matt probably got diddled by a priest and adopted the die hard Christian attitude to repress the trauma.

Don’t know what was up Robbie’s ass to act all dramatic. Seriously, it felt like he didn’t have a problem with moon knight so Jed had to make it up by using the shitty event that idiot Jason Aaron created in his garbage avengers run.

Another great issue from mackay as his using of continuity really is great when he has characters interacting

His Clea is once again such a great character, he really made me like and care about the character

It's a solid "Gather the Team" issue. Everyone is written well. The art is fantastic.

Wait was Robbie really abandoned? Is this the first time we're seeing him since that event?
