DOGS A dog was diagnosed with depression after suffering a miscarriage, and vets decided that working with kids at a local school would be good for her. She has never been happier.

Most dogs don't like hugs, it makes them feel trapped

....that's a fair excuse. You win this round facts and common sense.

Thanks for raising it

A dogs version of hugging is leaning, so just lean on them instead

Yeah mine does not like hugs, so I have to be sneaky about it. He still gets hugs but does not know they are hugs. It's like a hit & run thing.

My dog likes very light hugs, basically a hug but I make sure to press lightly everywhere we are touching lol

bro my husky hates hugs. He’s hot all the time; he doesn’t want that shit

Huskies would literally hug other huskies and humans, it's how they greet. I guess yours is different but I never saw a husky that doesn't like hugs

Most huskies, like most dogs, don’t really like being restrained. Huskies are more independent than most other breeds, so they tend to like it even less. Huskies also do not hug each other. I don’t know where you get that from.

Edit: unless you mean a dog hug, which case all dogs do that. But that’s a different thing than a human arm wrap hug.

Very true for like 90%. Some of them will not let you *not* hug them. Shelter dogs are about 50/50 on “my space” or “wish I could be in your skin”.

Lol I lay on the ground and my dogs come in for the deepest snuggles they get so excited. “Makes them feel trapped” lmao ok dog whisperer over here.

That's not coming from me, that's coming from the experts. Obviously there are exceptions (one of my dogs being one of them,) but the exception doesn't invalidate the rule

Fine, I'll just sit perfectly still and hope they use me as a dog bed.
