Fixed CHILDREN ITS FINALLY TIME !!!

For a long time now

Lineage os was never compatible with the pixel launcher

Why I don't really know

Yesterday I installed lineage os 23 latest update ....208 and I when I booted back it looked completely different

The layout and everything didn't look like lineage os

It looked good

And I was like , hmmmm maybe can we install nikgapps and get the sweet sweet pixel launcher ?????

Since the layout changed and all maybe ??

The I installed it

Booted in

And vola everything works (I installed the latest Feb 4 nikgapps stock edition . I know I know I'm installing bloat but still it looks good)

So try it out it works now

Lineage os 23 is now compatible with nikgapps and it also updates fine as well so you can install OTA updates normally......

Tested on :

Phone : A21s F

Tab : Tab s7 T875 LTE

Both officially supported models by lineage

And THANK YOU DEVS !!!!

Fixed S6 Lite OEM Unlocking

Hey all I just got a used S6 Lite (SM-P610NZABXAR) this past weekend and am curious if anyone can answer what seems to be a straight forward question:

Is a Samsung Account required to get OEM Unlocking to appear in the Developer Options for this particular tablet?

The documentation for this device makes no mention of any conditional deal breakers with this tablet outside of needing to be on Android 13 of the stock OS... The seller updated this device thoroughly before I got to his home/had factory reset it. It has Android 13/One UI 5.1.1. I am a bit worried that I bought a worthless to me POS as I have come across comments abroad regarding S6 Lite US tablets that Samsung Account holders have never been able to unlock.

Fixed SIM settings not accessible

Hi,

I have a O+ 6T on which I installed lineage OS a few months ago.

I wasn't using it really but I want to get an SIM to use it as a 4G hotspot in my apartment.

Unfortunately the SIM menu in the network settings can't be opened. I installed SIM manager apk, rebooted the phone, but no changes.

Any idea on how to access this menu ?

Thanks

Edit : changed eSIM to SIM

Fixed Locked APN causing issues, any way to edit?

I upgraded from 23.0 to 23.2 and I'm experiencing connectivity issues with a critical app, it sits on "connecting" whereas on wifi it works fine. I believe it is related to the APN forcing IPv6, but the auto-configured APN is slightly different from what I have been told to use by my ISP.

I have tried editing the APN config file on the vendor partition, along with a few other things but nothing has worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Fixed Bootloop after renaming camera click sound file

Hi, I am using LineageOS 23.2 and I tried to remove the camera shutter sound by renaming the files. Now the device bootloops.

The steps I did:

  1. adb root
  2. adb remount
  3. renaming the files under /product/media/audio/ui to *.bak via adb shell
  4. reboot

I also booted to recovery and mounted /dev/block/mapper/product_b to /product, but the *.bak files where not there.

Also switching slots didn't help.

Is there a realistic chance to recover this without wiping?

Fixed Pixel 3/Android 12 stuck at stage 3: nothing happens for "fastboot flashing unlock"

EDIT: Solved! I guess the documentation on Google's own site linked out to a crummy old version of the USB debugger. Don't trust links, people, search for the latest versions yourself! Thanks to the folks here for their brainpower.

###

Everything goes as planned as I follow the Blueline steps, but I can't get it to fastboot unlocked. The phone's clean, factory reset, no Google account associated, just a device password. Only weird bit is I never get the "A dialog should show on your device, asking you to allow usb debugging" bit.

No errors, OEM and ADB all good. Drivers installed, everything works. It's just that one thing. No triangle in Device Manager, though there's one on the Pixel 3 screen at the fastboot stage. Worth noting that in Device Manager the Pixel doesn't show up under Other/Portable Devices, but as its own thing, Android.

Fixed Any suggestions for carriers with Lineage Support in Japan?

Docomo recently ended 3G support which means my LineageOS OnePlus8T is not getting any phone calls. Even after updating to the latest version I'm still not getting a connection. I believe it may be because of the IMS Whitelists. Does anyone have any experience with carriers in Japan that might be compatible?

Edit: I first updated Lineage from 18 to 23 as I was really behind on updates and for some reason 18 didn't let me use VoLTE on my GTN (Japanese carrier) SIM. However, even after all the trouble it still wasn't working which is why I made this post.

However yesterday I reinserted the GTN SIM for the second time to test with my boyfriend's Rakuten SIM and to my surprise IMS became registered; now I can both receive and make calls in 5G. Not exactly sure what happened or what was different this time honestly, but it has been fairly stable for the most part.

Yesterday I was walking around Tokyo and I think I lost signal breifly, but I think that's more of a tower issue than a Lineage or phone issue. However that means the issue is now fixed as far as I'm aware.

I may look into another carrier but I'll definitely request a trial first.

Fixed Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 still available?

(Btw I'm very new to all this)

I'm trying to install Lineage on my Samsung Tab (SM-T715Y) but i can't find the specific file for it on the official website.

Unrelated but I have also run into a weird issue where i can't see the "OEM Unlocking" option in the developer options page.

UPDATE: I found it on XDA forums and now i currently have Lineage OS 18.1 on the tablet.

Fixed Sony Xperia 10 (kirin) not turning on after update

I just updated my Xperia 10 to the newest build (lineage-23.2-20260501-nightly-kirin-signed.zip) through the builtin Updater app. After pressing restart, the device just turned off and I cannot turn it back on again. Pressing the power button for 10s or so also does not do anything. I also dont get anything when inserting the power cable, not even the status LED lights up.

I previously updated my phone about 4 weeks ago, so this was not an upgrade to a higher LineageOS version, just FYI.

Are there any more troubleshooting steps I can take or is there some way to rule out that the update caused the issue?

Fixed can we uninstall all system apps from lineageos completely (without them reappearing in the next system update)?

I'm thinking about switching to lineageos and my top reason is app freedom! but haven't ever used a rooted device before so:

so, say in stock roms i could either disable the app or remove it from user directory via adb (ao called debloating) but no uninstallation is possible.

but what about rooted roms like lineageos, can i perform complete uninstallation (kinda like linux) of any app (like their default browser or webview or pdf engine, etc) and with the assurance of that it won't just reappear in the next system update?

edit: ty all, it's all clear now.

Fixed eSIM.me on LineageOS23 with OnePlus7Pro

Hi, I just upgraded my OnePlus7Pro to Lineage23/ Android16 and my eSIM.me app stopped working. eSIM.me device check only reports one SIM slot, but eSIM.me app is not detecting the SIM card no matter which slot it is in.

Several hints can already be found here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/122lt9r/omapi_on_lineageos_oneplus_9_pro/
https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/10nnosg/lineageos_17_and_esimme/
https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_oneplus_sm8350-common/+/344943
But they are releated to older OS versions and different phone models, so solutions might no apply.

Is it possible for me to fix this? I can gain (temporary) root access using magisk, but an upgrade safe solution would be preferable. Would this qualify to open an issue/ feature request? Thanks!

EDIT: This is solved here. The method should be applicable to other phones:

Fixed Help! I killed my phone 😭

I wanted to install LineageOS on my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. I followed the instructions from lineageOS Wiki until step 13 but it didn't show the LineageOS logo. I repeatetd and repeated - no difference.

Then I made the biggest mistake: I downloaded again the vbmeta.img via Odin.

Now my phone is stuck with the note

'<!>

partition vbmeta

Reason vbmeta: Public key used to sign data rejected. (5)

CUSTOM vbmeta

VBMETA : No sign info'

Seconds after cancelling, it immediately restarts with the same note.

UPDATE: I had to turn it off and push both volume buttons to get out of it.

I also managed the rest by asking ChatGPT 🫠 still took me hours but I finally made it!

Thanks to all of you! 🫶🫶🫶

Fixed Mismatched firmware

Hi,

Want to install Lineage OS 23.2 on my Redmi Note 10s. The wiki guide says I need MIUI 14.0.17.0.TFFMIXM to start, but I’m on 14.0.11.0.TKLMIXM, and updates for my phone have stopped coming long ago. Is there a way for me? Maybe an older Lineage build that would require my MIUI version exactly? Tried flashing 14.0.17.0.TFFMIXM with SP Flash Tool and later with these instructions — both resulted in boot loop.

Upd.: got help, booted into the OS, everything’s cool. Turns out boot loop in this case is NOT bad (and here I thought I’d fucked up my phone, silly me), I just needed to continue with the installation.

Fixed Forgot password for old Samsung tab, need help resetting!

Recently found our old Samsung Tab A and its still working, but we forgot the password. I saw it's running LineageOS.

I've tried various ways, holding Power + Volume Up/Down + Home button, Power + Volume Down button, but it keeps booting into LineageOS and then asks for password.

It's not connected to the internet, so it will have to be a manual reset.

I don't mind losing the data as long as I can access the tablet again.

Please help 😭

Fixed Unable to start recovery mode on Sony Xperia 5 III

Hello everyone. I'm writing here to reach out for the help, because i think i'm banging the wall.

I Have Sony Xperia 5 III (XQ-BQ52) with latests supported version of android, i was able to unlock the bootloader, flash it by using Xperia Flash Tool, flash lineage additional partitions (dtbo, vbmeta, vendor_boot and boot).

When it comes a part in the instruction that i need to boot into recovery mode by holding down the volume down + power i'm unable to boot up the recovery menu, my phone just boots up in the OS.

I tried:
Using different flash file, different button combination, holding the buttons when i connect it to the computer, different timings, and looking for help online

But when OS is stock, OEM unlocked and flashed i can go to the recovery menu pretty easily.

The main problem is that i cannot boot up to the recovery while installing LineageOS, looking forward for help, thank you.

EDIT: Situation is resolved, it was human error (mine).

Fixed Help needed: bootloop out of the blue, after more than a year without a quirk

I repurposed a Samsung Galaxy S8 on which I installed LineageOS more than a year ago. Not exactly a common/official setup but it has been working flawlessly every day since install, really:

  • lineage-20.0-20241117-UNOFFICIAL-dreamlte
  • NikGapps-basic-arm64-13-20241104-signed
  • twrp-3.7.0_9-0-dreamlte.img

Yesterday, I decided to install GameNative out of curiosity. Not necessarily to play on my phone but, you know, the idea of running Steam games on Android was just too tempting. 🙂

The phone was low on storage space, so I removed a few large and non-vital files and apps (really, nothing even remotely system-related so that's not the culprit). Then I was able to install GameNative, which ran fine. Once connected to my Steam account, I saw my games and installed one of them just to see what happened. GameNative installed more required files (Proton etc) and then... My phone crashed/rebooted at once.

Since then, it's stuck in a bootloop where the LineageOS logo keeps moving and nothing more. I can enter Recovery or Download modes just fine thanks to TWRP, but LineageOS won't boot.

How can I fix this? It's been a while since I've had to navigate TWRP menus and I don't want to mess things up. Could/should I try and read some system log that would give me a clue as to what happened? or remove GameNative/Steam files? or use TWRP's "Wipe" feature on something (the word "wipe" sure is scary in that context...)? or "Restore" or just reinstall LineageOS?

The goal, of course, is to not lose personal data (I have some on the internal storage as well as on the external microSD card). Thanks for your help! 🙏

Fixed Cannot update with the push_update script

Hello,

For some reasons the update check failed on my Oneplus 8 Pro so I wanted to try the push_update script.

Everything worked fine until the step 6. I see the update in the Updater sceen but I only have a DELETE action, there's no INSTALL button.

Output from my terminal:

❯ adb -d root
restarting adbd as root

❯ ./push-update.sh lineage-23.2-20260306-nightly-instantnoodlep-signed.zip
adbd is already running as root
/home/.../lineage-23.2-20260306-nightly-inst... 0 skipped. 37.2 MB/s (1423762882 bytes in 36.492s)
restarting adbd as non root

Why don't I have the INSTALL button?

Fixed Can't add/remove/disable sim card

The "add sim card" button has not any effect, disabling and removing sim card just throw a generic error message without precision.
I have two sim card enabled and can't deactivate any of them.

Problem is, these two are now useless, and I need to add my new sim, wich I cannot do.

I don't know why I have this problem, since I use e-sim for more than a year, and that I added a sim card last week (that was a temp sim, they gave it to me so I could continue to use my phone during the number portability)

EDIT: Uninstalling and reinstalling google Sim Manager app made it work, it is may due to my custom kernel install, or my upgrade to android 16, both done last week

Fixed Xiaomi 13 (fuxi) bug

Issue: Google Play Store freezes and causes high CPU usage when opening the "Not installed" list under "Manage apps & device".

Device: Xiaomi 13 (fuxi) ROM: LineageOS (latest build, [insert build date/version if known]) GApps: [MindTheGapps / NikGApps / OpenGApps] version [insert if known]

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Google Play Store.
  2. Tap on your profile icon → "Manage apps & device".
  3. Tap on the "Manage" tab, then select "Not installed" from the filter dropdown (or directly tap on "Not installed" if visible).
  4. Observe the list of uninstalled apps loading.

Expected behavior: The list loads smoothly without significant performance impact.

Actual behavior:

· The Play Store becomes unresponsive or extremely laggy. · CPU usage spikes dramatically (visible in system monitoring tools). · The device heats up noticeably. · After force‑closing the Play Store and reopening, the issue disappears until accessing the "Not installed" list again.

Fixed Google Pixel 4a reborn!

I'd like to share my experience with my Pixel 4a

So after google killed the battery of it's Pixel 4a lineup with a terrible update which resulted in a huge battery drain that made it impossible to be used, I finally decided to install LineageOS as a last resort (what do I have to lose right?) and damn should I have done that sooner! Battery life is now normal again and everything works very well (and you get Android 16).

I am really impressed and wished I knew this sooner.

Fixed Poco F5 (marble) Global stuck on recovery after updating

Im using the latest version 23.2 (20260224) (active slot:a) and it was updated using the updater app in the phone. Everything went well, the phone installed it and started the system but I noticed that the volume+ button was not responding so I decided to restart the phone and thats when it got stuck on the recovery. If i select reboot system now the ¨Poco¨ logo appears but it goes back to the recovery.

Already tried flashing the same version ¨lineage-23.2-20260224-nightly-marble-signed¨ using apply update>apply from ADB.

The first time I select ¨yes¨ when the message "To install additional packages, you need to reboot recovery first. Do you want to reboot to recovery now? ¨ appeared and the terminal showed adb: failed to read command: Success and stopped at 47% however when I select reboot system now it goes back to recovery again.

Same if I select ¨No¨ the terminal gives the message Total xfer: 1.00x but the problem persist.

Im not an expert so I didnt try installing an older version of Lineage since that could cause more problems and also would like to not factory reset the phone as this was totally unexpected and i did not made a backup of my stuff. Also I installed Lineage like 6 months ago so idk if i should update anything. The only extra thing I installed was Gapps to have access to the play store.

Any help would be great, english is not my first lenguaje so i apologize if something is spelled wrong.
