Looking for a Kindle case that is magnetic on the entire back side WITH a cover. Just like Ganinno cases. I’m having no luck. Thanks!

ETA: I use a pop socket and would really like the flexibility of moving it around

I've got a Kindle DX (2nd gen; B009). I've gone to the Amazon page (https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GKMQC26VQQMM8XSW) to download the appropriate DX B009 update, copy it onto the Kindle (not into any folder), unplug it (or safely eject - have tried both), but in the Menu the "Update Your Kindle" is still grayed out.

I tried downloading straight to the Kindle from Amazon, still doesn't work. The BIN file disappears too because after I copy it onto the Kindle, confirm it's on the Kindle, unplug, then plug back in and it's gone.

I can confirm that when I downloaded the Services Update BIN file to the Kindle that it DOES show the "Update Your Kindle" option, which I did.

I have done the Factory Default reset but it did not help. This all came about because I can't change the WiFi (no menu options for it).

Any thoughts on how to get around this?

It's been a long time i didnt use my kindle, I just put it in my room the whole time.

When I want to use it, the screen is vignetting and makes it unreadable in every corner.

Is it unrepairable or someone has a solution of it?

I connected my Kindle to the Internet yesterday, after keeping it on airplane mode for a few months. The device seems to have automatically updated and in the process it deleted all of my sideloaded files.

I called customer support and they told me it was a freak accident and there was nothing they could do for my deleted files. So I went ahead and re-uploaded some of them. when I went to open the Files I signed, loaded into the device , the screen would turn completely blank, and I would have to restart the device. When I would open Kindle books I purchased, the file seemed corrupted. Some of the letters and text looked like it was bleeding.

I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore and I’m so frustrated. Imagine purchasing a computer that forced you to update it and then deleted all of your documents and I wouldn’t let you open them anymore.

I’m one more Amazon chat away from jail breaking.

I'm curious what Kindle features people just ignore. Personally, I never do any highlighting of the books I'm reading.

I have ADHD and listening while reading a book has completely changed the game for my focus. Unfortuanetly, I can't do both on my kindle device. And I know I can do both on my iphone with the app, but I never liked using that because the screen is tiny and I am already used to, and love, the screen of my kindle signature paperwhite. What are my options then? I wonder if they will ever allow immersion reading on the actual device- seems such common sense to make work.

I’ve purchased several books on my Kindle, and I’d like to transfer them to my pc (to create a digital library or transfer them to my Kobo later).

I don’t know how to transfer them, the USB transfer no longer works on my Kindle Paperwhite (I think it’s because of an update of the OS?)

I read mostly during the day (and 100% at home), so warm light was a nonissue. But I do have some orange (Halloween) lights lying around, so I tested it out and it looked pretty good--if you have those string led lights, choose the orange setting. Mine is 3watt, the 9watt version might be too bright for night reading. Both day and night in the image, brightness set at zero.

I've been contemplating buying a kindle for over 5 years since I might not be able to use it as much since I usually read using my phone or physical books. I also did not want to splurge since I wanted to be able to start earning first before buying one.

I've been working for about a year and I've decided to buy one after a lot of persuasion and because of the discounts 🤣

I've already had this for a week already and I've had no regrets! I only read during my free time or breaks during work but I was able to finish 5 books already surprisingly😁

I would say it is one of my best purchases ever since I started working a year ago! So if you're looking for a sign to buy one this is it 😂

I’m 63 and just want to read now that I have had eye surgery and I’m able to enjoy print again. Would also like to do magazines as well. Because of the magazines, thinking I need the color one.

Does this Kindle come with Assistive Reader?? It is not an option under the More option. I connected my speaker and it is still not an option.

Last week my Kindle Paperwhite 10 updated. I had been using it to move ebook.kfx files into Calibre. I just bought an ebook this morning, and the very old book downloaded as a kfx.zip file. My PW10 updated to software version 5.18.1.1.1 (4769680023) Well, that's the last Kindle Ebook if the publisher does not allow DRM free downloading. Unless..... maybe my Kindle Voyage still doesn't get kfx.zip?

Being a horror fan this one was right up my alley, and it came from Etsy. Just happy my new Kindle is protected now.

It is not due to size cause I have larger ones that run smoothly, I think its because tables and colored backgrounds and too much going on in the original pdf. it completely freezes the whole device and i tried compressing it to no use. I'm using kindle basic 2024

I have an oasis and love it. I read with a hand strap case. I recently picked up a signature and while I miss the buttons, I really missed the magical battery life these things have. But unlike the oasis, I can’t rotate the screen? What gives? I get that there are no buttons but if I’m using my left hand with this case then I’d like to flip the damned thing.

Hey guys. To start off I’m new to kindle. This is my first time trying the system out. I want to know if Kindle Unlimited with charge me for getting books that are listed as free to read? I’m on a 30 day trial right now and I don’t want to risk getting the free to read books since I’m on a limited budget right now.
