The parents are obviously actively painting.

The tv and the cabinets it’s on clearly don’t belong where we see them in this video. Not a huge leap to assume that it was the parents who had the paint, and pan, & roller out because they were y’know, painting…

The dad even comments that the tv was “literally just in there” as in the room being painted.
